Angels of Luke

So with a title like the above, you might be thinking that I'm referring to something like this:

And while I certainly like the quote above, for this entry it's really a reference Luke's Angels. In case you don't know them, they're a sweet Twin Cities band (with strong ties to STC)...

And they were actually playing this afternoon at the Electric Fetus in downtown St. Cloud.  They definitely have a very solid, chunky sound - fusing 3 electric guitars and a drum kit.  It's a fact they use to their advantage, especially with the intriguing twin vocals of Melissa and Jennie.

Incidentally, the first time ever I saw this band was in a barn just northeast of St. Cloud.  There was a great mix of bands that night (including an IDM dude from Chicago who brought his full desktop computer setup)....

Anyway, they sounded good that night and better today.  And it definitely makes me want to say that I *will* be playing a show at the St. Cloud Fetus as well.  Not sure the time line yet - but however it works out, I look forward to it.
