It's amazing how you can think about something so much for so long, and come to what you think is a very solid conclusion. And then in one shot of insight, you change your perspective and things look (and sound) very different...

Such a thing just happened to me last night, and it's kind of a doozy. I found a compelling new way to interpret the music, so that the story element basically stays the same with the beginning and end being moved. In this new framing, the story starts earlier; during a wonderfully innocent time really...

And it ends with the fracturing of my skull.  Actually, it ends with musical epilogue: "4 Guitar", which shows there *was* life after death and that things were ultimately going to be okay (though the journey/recovery will take some time)....

One major by-product of this new context is that the song order changed! And I must say that I'm really liking the new order now in terms of musical flow. Especially since the most "intense" songs needed to be near the climax, and hence at the end of the album.  It looks like this:

I don't know yet how far I'm going to go with this new order.  In one scenario I could actually press new CDs (w/ new back-cover design)!  Most likely, though, I'll just sell the current CDs as an alternate version :D And say that the digital version is the real one now :)  Which you can stream here for free...
